Stroke is a collection of symptoms due to pathological processes in the brain blood vessels. This pathological process is in the form of blockage or rupture of blood vessels to the brain. As a result is the disruption of blood flow and reduced oxygen supply to the brain. Factors that could cause a stroke are narrowing of blood vessels, diabetes, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, hardening of blood vessels, thickening of blood vessels, hypertension, overweight, and others. However, in most cases, a stroke caused by hypertension, and it can be avoided through the healthy lifestyle and taking l-arginine supplement.
L-arginine serves as a stimulator for the production of Nitric Oxide (NO) which serves as a powerful cardiovascular system protection. Cardiovascular system is often called the circulatory system or the body's transportation system, which is the process of circulation of the various substances the body needs as well as taking substances that are not needed for later expelled from the body. Cardiovascular system has three main components of blood, heart and blood vessels.
NO acts as a signal molecule to help improve communication between the cells of the cardiovascular system. NO widens the arteries, which in turn helps regulate blood pressure and improve blood flow to vital organs including the brain. Increasing production of NO, which is stimulated by l-arginine, will provide many benefits to the cardiovascular system in the long run. In this way, then the blood flow to the brain will go smoothly, so that a stroke can be avoided.
